DIRECT ANSWER
Ohio is not on Tesla’s current service-area list.
Tesla currently lists limited Robotaxi service in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando and Tampa. Its public rider information says the initial fleet uses Model Y vehicles and describes future Cybercab rides separately.
Tesla’s July 2026 Cybercab first-responder plan also says all Robotaxi vehicles are currently owned and operated by Tesla. No third-party Cybercab purchase or fleet-operation program is published today.
WHAT CHANGED IN 2026
Production is real; Ohio availability is not.
Tesla reported that Cybercab production began at Gigafactory Texas during the second quarter of 2026. It also reported public-road engineering drives and employee rides on its Texas campus.
Those milestones do not establish a public Ohio service area, outside-fleet ownership option, retail price or Ohio delivery date. None has been announced in the official sources checked for this update.
STATEWIDE VIEW
An Ohio launch would likely begin with bounded service areas.
Tesla describes its current Robotaxi markets as limited service areas, not statewide coverage. If an Ohio launch is announced, the practical questions will be which city, what boundary, which vehicle, and who owns and operates the fleet.
- Columbus and Central Ohio
- Cleveland and Northeast Ohio
- Cincinnati and Southwest Ohio
- Dayton, Toledo and other Ohio markets
None of those markets has a Tesla Robotaxi launch date today. For the separate proposed Columbus fleet, see the 614 Robotaxi Columbus status tracker.
